It's almost hard to believe, but in a little over a week, we'll know who our next President will be.

This election season just flew by, didn't it? ;)

Yeah, I know it lasted two years, but I *swear* it only felt like one!

STABBY DEATH

It's sad that my first thought was "well, we HOPE we'll know." Hopefully there won't be any lawsuits or recounts involved.

Wow, is it that time again already? I'd hardly noticed.

You'd think there would have been a commercial or something.

I expect that the results will be lopsided enough that there won't be much question.

There's not much going on my department. One of the luxuries of having a lot of the people be from out of state or out of country (thus being unable to vote or voting absentee). ;)

I do know that one of my profs is voting for Obama, her out of work jacket has a propaganda pin. I'm guessing the other senior prof is also voting Dem. The new dept. head may vote Rep. Now that I think about it... All the men will vote Rep and most of the women will vote Dem.

Thanks! *hugs*

It's funny...one of the local stations here is running "Political Ad Break" commercials...showing like a minute and a half of something absolutely cute, like a puppy, or a baby.

Oh, that will be exciting. I'll probably watch the whole coverage live, which means that I'll be extremely cranky the day after, time zones and all that.

...wow, someone made a Germany Obama icon?

Do you get The Daily Show or Colbert Report where you are? They're hosting a special on election night, which is what I'll be watching.

The same person who made the US states icons that are cropping up everywhere also made other countries on request - apparently, there was quite a demand. I think the shape of Germany really brings out the logo nicely.

While I can watch both of those shows through the internet after they have aired, I won't be able to get them live, I suppose. So I'll either go with CNN World on my TV or one of the many channels that provide internet feeds. Several German channels will do coverage the whole night, too, but I like it better if interviews and so on are un-dubbed.
